I’m going to try a whole new look! Cut and colour! Right now my hair is just past my shoulders and a medium brown. I have a round face and a red skin tone but I tan really easily! I don’t really want my hair to be short but what do you think?

It’s hard to judge what may happen since we don’t know what natural level you’re starting with. Jennifer Lopez has a deeper brown that is lightened to a warm light brown and then an even lighter dimension is added. There isn’t really any red, but she is golden from the lightening. If your hair is as dark as Jennifer Lopez’s natural shade, any lightening will expose warmth. It’s important to know exactly what you are targeting we recommend seeking the skill of a professional colorist to give you the most natural dimension like Jennifer’s! Best of luck!

You could always go lighter for the summer, but it is important to remember that lightening your hair is a process and it should be done by a professional. Set up a consultation with your colorist and talk about a few options for both light and dark shades.

on older women: i think its a good idea, they have been through it all in hair and makeup unlike a teen star in the beauty regimen…what about Dolly Parton lol she has such extreme beauty too – way before aguilera.
Dita Von Teese – every girl has been copying this real burlesque star lately from Aguilera to Katy Perry. many girls want to know her beauty tips, in fact she’ll be doing a book on it soon! she does her own hair and makeup unlike other celebrities. its worth a cover. plus to have someone else besides a singer/actress would be nice.

One of the best ways to achieve a look similar to Taylor Swifts involves setting your hair on rollers while it’s still damp, giving your hair the chance to dry around the rollers. Once the hair is completely dry, a spritz of hairspray will lock in those curls all day! If you’re using a curling iron, make sure you don’t brush the curls or tousle them with your fingers until they’re cool. If you touch the curls while they’re still hot, you may brush the curl right out of your hair!
