Consider not washing your hair every day. By the time I was 13, my hair was completely dried out from washing it every single day. If you’re going to a big event, wash your hair the day before because it will be so much easier to style the next day.
If I’m ever concerned about an outfit being too mature, I always trust my brother—he’s two years older. I base it on the amount of wincing on his face. If I walk out and he’s squirming then I try something else.
