3 Easy Steps To Star Style

WESTWOOD, CA - DECEMBER 07: Actress Olivia Munn attends the premiere of Paramount Pictures' "Office Christmas Party" at Regency Village Theatre on December 7, 2016 in Westwood, California. (Photo by Steve Granitz/WireImage)

Olivia Munn showed off the perfect wavy bob on the red carpet recently, thanks to stylist, Christian Wood, who give the actress a huge chop before styling wtih Matrix products. The inspiration for Olivia’s fab look? “We’ve talked about cutting her hair for quite some time now, but tonight we finally did it!” shares Wood. “In the end, it was about 12 inches off. To compliment this new look, we wanted a style that was cool and effortless. Her hair is quite straight naturally so we went a bit choppier with the cut and created an overall undone look.”

Here’s the step-by-step…

1.      Apply a texture-enhancing product (Wood used Matrix Style Link Blowout Curvy Queen) to damp hair. Flip head and rough dry to add extra volume all over and give the ends a piecey look.

2.      Once completely dry, use a medium curling iron to create loose waves. Take small pieces, leaving out the ends, and alternate the direction of each wave – one left, one right – for a more ununiformed, beachy look.

3.      Let waves cool about 5 minutes then flip hair upside down again and shake out the waves. Flip back up and apply a root booster for more texture and volume, then finish with a deep side part and a touch of finishing spray for light hold.
