Gaga Over Lady Gaga’s Emmy Look

67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Arrivals

Who looked great on the Emmy red carpet last night? Lady Gaga! Looking sedate and beautiful in a black dress, the singer and actress (she’s premiering in American Horror Story: Hotel on October 7) donned a curved bob styled by Frederic Aspiras using Matrix Style Link products. “I wanted to create something soft and touchable,” says the pro stylists, who looked to Grace Kelly’s effortless elegance as his inspiration. Here’s the step by step…

1. First, apply Style Link Volume Builder to towel-dried hair from roots to ends and comb through.

2. Next, mix in hands a small amount of Style Link Smooth Setter with a pump size amount of Style Link Gloss Booster and apply mid-shaft to ends of hair; comb through.

3. Using a 2-inch round titanium brush, blow-dry hair under and back, working section-by-section.

4. After blow-drying is complete, use Style Link Shape Switcher to mold hair in place and create waves and shapes. Aspiras chose to push the hair off Lady Gaga’s face and create waves that went back, “in order to maintain the softness and movement of the hair.”

5. Finally, use Style Link Texture Builder to add hold and volume.
