Straight from Michelle Phan’s ICON Network is this super-cute, patriotic nail pictorial from CutePolish, YouTube’s #1 nail-art channel, who recently signed a content deal with ICON. Here’s your step-by-step for having the best nails at the barbecue this weekend!

how to 4th of july nail art 2Step 1: Begin by painting three of your nails with two coats of dark blue (Formula X Omni) and the other two nails with two coats of white (OPI Alpine Snow).

Step 2: Use a red nail art striper (Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Striper Red) and create vertical lines over the white nails. Optionally, you could use a thin paint brush dipped into a red nail polish to do this.

Step 3: Take the dark blue nail polish and gently glide the brush over the very top corners of the white nails to create a small rectangle.

Step 4: Use a toothpick dipped into white polish to add dots over the dark blue rectangles. Then add some red, white and blue confetti nail polish (Formula X Liberty) over the dark blue nails. Optionally, you could use a toothpick to create little red, white, and blue dots over these nails instead.
Perfectly patriotic!
