From her colorful floral gown (that’s it above, the background to Emmy’s nails) to her sleek upsweep, actress Emmy Rossum stunned at the 2014 Met Gala—and her dazzling red digits helped complete the look! Want to flaunt fierce fingertips Emmy’s? You’re in luck! Katie Jane Hughes, butter LONDON Global Colour Ambassador, dishes on how to recreate this classic, red carpet mani…

The Scoop:

By blending two butter LONDON nail lacquers, Ladybird and Pillar Box Red, Hughes created a bold, red color for Emmy to wear on the red carpet. “We mixed together this amazing red color to complement a shade in Emmy’s Carolina Herrera dress,” says the colour ambassador. “The blend had a hint of orange in it which looks gorgeous with Emmy’s skin tone.”

Nail Look How To:

  • Hughes began by applying a base coat to Emmy’s digits.
  • She then applied one coat of butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Ladybird followed by one coat of butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Pillar Box Red.
  • The nail pro completed the look by applying a top coat.
  • To ensure Emmy’s hands looked smooth and moisturized throughout the night, Hughes used butter LONDON’s Backstage Basics Signature Lotion. Formulated with shea butter and antioxidant vitamins A, D and E, this lightweight lotion is the best pick-me-up for dull skin.
